Since 1993, AISA has existed in Abuja, the new federal capital of Nigeria. The school was established to provide a quality education, utilizing an American curriculum for students of all nationalities from preschool through 12th grade. Over the years, this educational institution has witnessed enrollment growth from 40 students in 1993 to 440 students in 2010. The school community has made significant progress in terms of providing an excellent curriculum, qualified and dedicated teaching staff, and attractive facilities. AISA is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Elementary Schools, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. The American International School of Abuja is a private, independent, international day school with a strong commitment to providing a nurturing learning environment for all students. We believe in teamwork, and we have a team of dedicated and experienced faculty from ten different nations who facilitate the teaching and learning process. The parents are supportive and actively involved in the school and extra-curricular activities for our students who come from 40 nations. Fulfillment of our vision to expand the AISA campus became a reality in the summer of 2006, when we completed the construction and moved to our brand new facility. We are now situated on a 13-acre tract of land in the Durumi district near the new national soccer stadium. We are very excited and proud of the new campus. A full high school program has been implemented at AISA, beginning with the addition of 10th grade in 2006-2007. Grades 11 was added the following year while Grade 12 was added in August 2008. The programs for Kindergarten through 12th grade are fully accredited by Middle States. If you join our school as a student, parent or faculty member, I believe that you will experience a unique educational and cultural opportunity. You will be part of the challenges and excitement in developing a rapidly growing school. On behalf of the Board of Governors, Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and students, I invite you to consider joining our dynamic and supportive community. Sincerely, |
